Keeps water and waterer clean August 12, 2015 Reviewer: Julie Larson from San Jose, CA United States   We haven't gone outside with our chicks yet, but I've been told that the cover makes a big difference for algae growth. Ingenious! BriteTap Watering System June 15, 2015 Reviewer: Keith Bracken from St. George, UT United States   The Brite Tap watering system is the best. No more dirty water for the chickens to drink. No more dirty water for someone to change.The chickens learned to use it right off and they drink more water in a day.The sun cover helps and adding ice to the jug helps keep the water cool on hot days.Chicken Waterer.com is good to work with and will answer questions if they come up.I recommend it and so do my chickens. Just what I've been needing! June 4, 2015 Reviewer: A Newbie Urban Chicken Mom from Dallas, TX United States   My Chicken Waterer has performed flawlessly for me for about a year. The plugs are a bit discolored, but the only "problem" I've had is algae forming in the hot summer months. It's not a huge problem, more an inconvenience, but it did have me wondering what could be done to prevent the algae. I was delighted to discover that The Chicken Waterer offers a BriteTap Sun Cover, which I have (easily and successfully) installed and hope will keep my chickens and me happy throughout the summer!
